Students from the Saint Peter High School French Club competed in A Vous La Parole, Minnesota’s French Speaking Contest, on Tuesday, April 18 at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
Students memorized and performed poems or texts in French for judges who scored them for such qualities as pronunciation, interpretation, fluency, and intonation. Former SPHS French teacher Mary Behrends coached the SPHS students and they all received medals (one red and the rest blue) for their efforts!
The SPHS contingent attending A Vous La Parole, in addition to Mary Behrends, included Norah Timmerman, Rowan Snay, Jasmine Dezurn, Andrew Baji, Elodie De Vos, and David Marlow.
