SPHS Signing Day 2024

Saint Peter High School had four senior student-athletes participate in National Signing Day festivities before school on Wednesday morning where they officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the college level.

The Saints Activities Office hosted the National Signing Day event in the SPHS gym in front of a large group of family and friends. Activities Director Shea Roehrkasse introduced each of the college-bound Saints and his assistant Zoe Haugen helped organize the event.

Those four student-athletes who signed on Wednesday included:

* Luke Banks - University of Notre Dame (South Bend, IN) for track & field. Banks was recruited as a thrower and is a three-time state medal winner for the Saints in the discus including being state runner-up his junior and sophomore years. He also placed seventh in the shot put last spring.

* Annika Southworth - Trine University (Angola, IN) for women's’ basketball. Southworth is a three-time All-Big South Conference performer for the Saints and a starter on last year’s Minnesota State Class AAA Tournament consolation championship (5th place) team. She’s also amassed more than 1,000 career points heading into her senior year.

* Sarah Coe - Minnesota State University-Moorhead for swimming. Coe is headed to the Minnesota State Swimming & Diving Meet this coming weekend as part of the Saints’ 200 freestyle relay team. It will be Coe’s second straight state tourney trip as she participated in the same event last year at state.

* Ezekiel Ribar - University of Wisconsin-Superior for men's’ tennis. Ribar is a two-time All-Big South Conference member and also earned honorable mention status his freshman year. He was also a member of the Saints’ state tournament team in 2023 that placed sixth overall.
