Students in Mrs. Moelter’s second grade class at North Elementary have been busy prepping the North flower garden on the south side of the main building for the upcoming growing season! The students will measure their plants (day lilies) that are growing in the garden as part of their Number Corner for math.
“We marked our plants with a popsicle stick so we are always measuring the same plant to see its growth throughout the month,” Mrs. Moelter said. “Then we are also measuring a tulip to compare the difference between the two.”
The students will continue to monitor the plants through the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. Above and below are some photos of Mrs. Moelter's students working in the North flower garden and monitoring the plant growth there.
