SPHS theater students are hard at work rehearsing for their annual spring play production. This year, the group of talented thespians will perform The Play That Goes Wrong by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields. Despite the titular warning of chaos, rehearsals for the play have been running smoothly under Robbie Deering and Jen Maldonado’s direction.
According to the Playhouse Square website, the synopsis for this show is as follows, "An international comedy sensation, The Play That Goes Wrong follows the Cornley Drama Society’s misfortunate opening night performance. Their actors are clumsy, unconscious, and forgetful, but nonetheless leave their audience thoroughly entertained! This “play within a play” is described as “equal parts Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes” – a certainly memorable combination, indeed!"
The crew – led by Scott Robinson – and cast have been working tirelessly to provide audiences with yet another fabulous production. In the hands of the wildly talented Saint Peter theater students, The Play That Goes Wrong is destined to go perfectly right!
The Play That Goes Wrong graces the Saint Peter High School Performing Arts Center stage for three performances on Thursday, May 1; l Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3. Tickets are general admission and are now available for purchase at the following link →
