Kitchen Table Conversations series

Saint Peter Community and Family Education along with the Saint Peter Good Neighbor Diversity Council are sponsoring a FREE series devoted to learning and sharing about our diverse cultures through casual conversations. The first session is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 in room 2017 at the St. Peter Community Center. (See flyers above and below for English, Somali and Spanish versions with info on the Kitchen Table Conversation series)

Julie Hawker of Outsource Training Providers and Lourdes Menjivar of Copal will facilitate the series. Participants will engage in large group learning and then move to small groups, also known as “kitchen tables,” where they will meet with the same group at each session.

The goal is for people to have meaningful conversations and get to know one another. Light refreshments will be served each evening.

The three sessions and each theme includes:

Thursday, Sept. 26 - Leaders & Your Community

Thursday, Oct. 3 - Family & Parenting

Thursday, Oct. 10 - Joys & Sorrows of Our Journey

For more information on these sessions please contact Tami Skinner at tskinner@stpeterschools.org.
