North Elementary School is giving South first graders a sneak peek at where they will be attending classes for the 2023-24 school year with guided tours during school hours today (Tuesday) and Thursday. Leading the tours are Mr. Ribar, North’s social worker, and student members of North’s Kindness Crew.
Today and Thursday’s tours during school hours includes a greeting from North Principal Darin Doherty, a chance to get familiar with the building and playground area, and the opportunity to meet other North teachers/staff.
The first graders will then use their new-found knowledge of their “new” school during an open house event for them and their families from 5 to 6:30 p.m. either tonight (Tuesday) or Thursday.
The following is the schedule for Tuesday and Thursday family open hour tours at North (by first grade class):
- Tuesday, May 9 (5 to 6:30 p.m.) - Minks, Elverum, Schultz, and Welter's classes
- Thursday, May 11 (5 to 6:30 p.m.) - Eyler, Borchert, and Bjorklund's classes.
