Saint Peter High School choir director Bri Bergstrom recently announced that several members of the SPHS vocal music program participated in or will participate in various honor choirs this school year.

Dorian Vocal Festival
Several members of the Saint Peter High School Concert Choir recently participated in the Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

Those SPHS choir members participating included Emmalyn Hastings, Kailyn Embacher, Ella Fritsch, Grace Tollefson, Sophia Brown, Brenden Larson, Luke Gilbertson, Ryan Domras, Quinn Dixon, and Braedon Dornfeld.
This two-day event is open to juniors and seniors, who have been nominated by their school directors. While on campus, students had the opportunity to sing in a 900-person choir, rehearsed with Luther’s music faculty, and participated in sectionals with singers from hundreds of schools around the Midwest region.
MMEA All-State Choral Concert
Three SPHS choir members will take part in the Minnesota Music Educators Association’s (MMEA) All-State Choral Concert on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. ACDA Midwestern Region Honor Choir
Three members of the SPHS Concert Choir have been selected to perform in the American Choir Directors Association’s Midwestern Regional Choral Concert on Saturday, Feb. 10 in Omaha, Neb. Those SPHS choir students participating in Omaha are Brenden Larson, Austin Reyes, and Bekah Roemhildt.
This concert will be held in conjunction with the ACDA’s Midwestern Region Conference, which includes the states of Minnesota, Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Click HERE for more information!
ACDA Minnesota Honor Choir (Grades 9-10)
Sophomore Gabe Zayas and freshman Rosie Jensen were chosen to participate in the American Choir Director’s Association’s Minnesota Honor Choir for 9th and 10th graders. That will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
SPHS Concert Choir members participating in the February 17th MMEA All-State Choral Concert in Minneapolis included Austin Reyes, Brenden Larson, and Grace Tollefson.
Bekah Roemhildt was one of three SPHS students, along with Brenden Larson and Austin Reyes, chosen to take part in the ACDA Midwestern Region Honor Concert in Omaha, Neb., on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Rosie Jensen (9th grade) and Gabe Zayas (10th grade) were chosen to participate in the American Choir Director’s Association’s Minnesota Honor Choir for freshmen and sophomores.
